St Joan’s has been in our family for over 30 years and has been a much loved family home and of course a much loved place to stay for countless holiday makers searching for that unique stay - remember holiday houses of the 1970’s ?
If your idea of a holiday house is a big smart TV / WIFI, blank white walls , minimalist styling or shiny new bathrooms - then please do not book St Joan’s it is most definitely not that !
If your looking for - a great view to the ocean from north to the dunes to south to the port of Geraldton - native gardens / retro furniture / lots of art / and a little 1972 fibro - then St Joan’s may fit the bill
No you can’t walk to the cafes etc - we are located 12km from town -
The basics are supplied such as jams, tea, a coffee machine, pods supplied.
The sunset IGA is just down the road and the 440 roadhouse is open 24/7 .
We are well stocked up with magazines, interesting books, and of course old school board games and cards - there’s also a record player and a rack of vintage vinyl's
In winter we supply wood for the cozy wood fire in the lounge ( and light the fire in some cases !)
the fire pit also comes out -
so you can have an outdoor fire while watching the biggest sky show in the world in your own backyard !
If your looking for something a little different
Not a sterile / cookie cutter Airbnb then take a look at St Joan’s
Your booking includes the whole house - which includes a back yard that overlooks that amazing Indian Ocean..space out front big enough to pull in boats or caravans. We also have a shed that you can lock up at well. I have planted out the gardens with Western Australian native plants - these are just small now but will be full size in no time. Drummond Cove is a very quiet little suburb north of the Geraldton CBD about 12 minutes from town, restaurants, cafes and cinema. About 5 min drive to the the local Sunset IGA which has a supermarket, a chemist, newsagent, bottleshop, hairdresser and a cafe open till 8pm most nights (supermarket, bottleshop, chemist)
I will be in touch with you via the Airbnb site with regards to key code access closer to your arrival
Due to the vintage / delicate furnishings our home is not suitable for children under 5
As I do not provide cots etc, but of course if you travel with your own equipment for babies etc please discuss with me prior to booking as i am sure we can come to some arrangement.
Pets are assessed on a case by
case basis - please do not just presume you can bring your dogs and cats with you -unless you have requested it - dogs are charged at $40 each this covers the extra cleaning involved please discuss pets etc when booking
