Pudding Bag Cottage is a delightful and versatile 'home away from home' ideally suited for families, couples and solos/traveling workers, in a premier CBD location in the heart of Mount Gambier. Less than 500m from a huge range of eateries, shops and gardens with playground. This historic circa 1860 cottage has been brought in to modern day with new furnishings and decor, offering both charm and style. Sleeping Arrangements Bedroom One - A luxe Queen Bedroom resides at the front of the house. Great for couples or singles, guests will enjoy the modern finishes and comfort of this room. USB charging points on the bedside tables and built-in wardrobes for luggage storage. Bedroom Two - Opposite the Queen Bedroom is a Retreat Bunk Bedroom with full size single bunk beds and a chill out space with Smart TV, couch and activities to keep the young at heart entertained. Versatile styling makes the room appropriate for all ages - from children that are old enough to sleep in a bed, up to teens or single adults (adults on bottom bunk only). Luggage holder and hanging rack is provided. Bedroom Three - Privately located at the rear of the house across from the bathroom is a versatile and luxurious Queen Retreat Bedroom. This room has an attached living area with a day bed, study desk and ambient electric fireplace. USB charging points on the bedside tables and walk in robe for luggage storage. Whilst this bedroom is a beautiful retreat space for a couple, setting up the day bed as a single/king bed also allows a family of up to four to comfortably sleep in this space, if required. We have set up the cottage to be extremely versatile to cater for a range of travelling parties. -Couples or solo travellers love having a place to stay that offers room to move, that feels like home and they can choose their favourite guest room for their stay. -The cottage comfortably sleeps a family of up to 8 OR two families of 4 OR a family of 4 and a couple (bring the grandparents!) and the layout of the house offers privacy for each family and room for the kids to unwind whilst the parents do the same. Please note that there is only one bathroom, and ideally large groups should have maximum four adults and the rest of the group to be made up of young children, otherwise the bathroom and lounge facilities can get a little cramped if there are too many adults and teens staying in the cottage. -Two couples/singles also love staying at Pudding Bag as each couple has their own living spaces for some recharge time and privacy and the main living area to come together and socialize. -Travelling Tradies also love the Pudding Bag, as there are three separate bedrooms and three separate living spaces giving coworkers privacy to unwind, FaceTime family and choose their own streaming on TV after a hard days work. Living Arrangements In the middle of the cottage you will find the open plan Living, Dining and Kitchen area. This space is quaint and cozy, with reverse cycle air conditioning and a 50 inch smart TV with a three seater lounge. Coffee machine, gas cooktop, electric oven and dishwasher are available in a well equipped spacious kitchen. The cottage also has a clean and spacious bathroom with bath and a separate toilet, and an open plan laundry/mud room with a quick and easy to use top load washing machine if you need to wash your clothes on your travels. Fast WI-FI works in all areas of the house and front and rear outdoor areas. Outdoor Space When you arrive at the property you will notice its beautiful cottage charm, ready for a relaxing enjoyable stay. The property is fully enclosed to provide peace of mind for those travelling with children. Pack the scooters and helmets, kids love scooting around the concrete areas. In the backyard there is a deck/pergola area with a BBQ and alfresco dining for up to six to soak up the afternoon sun. Parking Parking is on street out the front of the cottage. Easy to turn around at the end of the cul de sac. Local traffic only on the street, in a desired and safe location of town. Please note that the driveway is narrow and only very small cars will fit down the driveway, but there is ample parking at the front of the property. Location The cottage resides in a quiet cul de sac in a premier CBD location. A range of eateries including Thai, Indian, Chinese, Italian, Malaysian, Fish & Chips, Pubs, Dessert Bar, plus fantastic coffee houses and cafes are all less than 500m walk or drive, on the Main Street of Mount Gambier. Leave the car at the cottage and walk to dinner, it’s one of the things guests love most about the place! Also within a 500m walk (or less) is a playground, park/gardens, mini golf and bowling. Mount Gambier has lots to offer tourists with our Caves, Craters and Lakes waiting to be explored. Within 30 minutes drive guests will find the Coonawarra Wine Region, the Glenelg River and a range of Beaches with 4x4 access. Parking is on street out the front of the cottage. Easy to turn around at the end of the cul de sac. Local traffic only on the street, in a desired location of town. Please note that the driveway is narrow and only very small cars will fit down the driveway, but there is ample parking at the front of the property.
