The space is 1600 square feet with large bedrooms and soaring ceilings in the Master, Living room and Dining room. Long term tenants occupy the lower level. The tenant's front door is from the lower level on a different street. The neighborhood is home to several dogs who bark loudly at times and the proximity to a small local airport means that airplanes can be heard flying overhead. If the windows are open on a foggy evening the foghorn can be heard at intervals warning fishermen adding to the coastal ambiance. Guests access their space from the stairs in front of the home, completely separate from the lower level. Must be able to climb stairs. Guests have no access to any of the lower level including the garage. The west facing deck is a wonderful place to relax. Parking is free on the driveway. Plenty of room for two large cars or four small cars. We are in San Mateo County just north of Half Moon Bay. Our TOT Tax is 10% while Half Moon Bays TOT Tax is much higher. The garage is not connected to the interior of the home and may be used by the owners during your stay. Most closets and some cabinets are locked and marked as owners use only. Long term tenants are in the lower level of the home. They enter from a different street and from the rear of the home. Large driveway for guest's exclusive use at no charge. On the first Wednesday of every month at 10:00 AM an alarm is tested by the emergency broadcast system the coast. Garbage is collected early every Wednesday morning. Gardeners come every Thursday. We welcome stays over 31 days and offer a substantial discount. No transient Occupancy Tax is charged for longer stays, saving 10%.

El Granada, California, United States Located just a 9 minute walk to Pillar Point Harbor and the Coastal Trail on a quiet residential street. A short walk thru the neighborhood and up leads to green space behind our house that offers expansive views of the coastline. We have many fabulous restaurants nearby. Sams Restaurant is probably the best know but we frequent The Press, Ketch Joanns, Princeton Seafood Company and the Miramar. The location of the Maverick's Surf Contest and Surfers Beach are within walking distance. We are just 4 miles north of Half Moon Bay. Between here and there is Seahorse Ranch which offers horse back riding. Depending on the time you visit you may see gorgeous fields covered in yellow mustard or orange pumpkin fields. Or the field may have artichokes or Brussel sprouts. Our farming and fishing communities are still very much a part of the Coast. And the BEACH! You can't go anywhere without seeing the beautiful ocean. It is really nice to have a car on the coast as we have infrequent bus service. We also have UBER and Lyft to get to public transportation. Several restaurants are within a 10 minute walk.
