The space
Sleeps up to 10! Built in 2022 with the character and decor of a rustic cabin decades older. We took great care to provide a spa like experience in the dual master suites (two king master en-suites, another bedroom with a 3rd king bed and a 4th br with 1 queen and 2 twin bunks.
The secluded location on the mountain gives privacy with a view. Fully stocked kitchen with the conveniences of a modern home with the character of a mountain cabin. Tons to explore and experience within 30 minutes, including the rustic city of Blue Ridge, which is less than 10 min away, but our family finds that we don't leave the cabin until we need to resupply! So many places to soak in the long-range mountain view, 2 covered porches, hot tub and every seat in the house has a view. A wall of 22' high windows brings the outdoors inside. A high efficiency, super insulated home with 3 HVAC zones, you are comfortable all year round. Each of the 4 bedrooms is their own retreat. The large common areas, consisting of the family, game, and dining rooms indoors and a dedicated eating and separate outdoor living porch expand your choices even in inclement weather. ** 3 outdoor security cameras (Driveway, front door, and back yard), no living areas are monitored. You have the entire property to yourself except for the utility room, a couple of locked closets and locked kitchen cabinets for supplies and the owner's personal use.

All guests are HIGHLY encouraged to have vacation/travel insurance to mitigate loss from unforeseeable circumstances. The property has 3 cameras pointed at non-living spaces for security and guest count. 1. Driveway/parking area, 2. Doorbell cam at front door, 3. View of the back yard. The last mile to the cabin is a gravel mountain road, easy to navigate but it is a bumpy ride, and your car will get dirty. FWD sedans will have no problem, but you may want to leave the sports cars and motorcycles at home.

Access to Barkada Cabin is an easy drive for any car, SUV or truck. While there is a challenging hill, residents with FWD (front wheel drive) cars traverse the roads daily. Unlike many mountain communities with narrow, one-lane streets with tight curves and steep drop-offs, Cohutta Farms (aka "Last Resort") is right off the four lane (515/5) service by paved county roads up to the last 1 mile which offers plenty of areas for vehicle to pass and no OMG drop-offs. The road is great for long walks with modest elevation change and almost no traffic. Great mountain bike opportunities. Some trails in the community and abandoned railroad track access for a very flat hike.
