Welcome to Riverrun! Prepare to relax as you step inside this spacious home. Gorgeous water views from the deck with multiple amenities for every guest! Relax by the fire pit, play cornhole, swim, fish, boat, jet ski, walk in nature, dine outside, watch the sunset, explore historic Bath and Belhaven, take one of three local ferries, drive over to the outer banks. The possibilities are ENDLESS! While you are here, at our retreat, you will feel pampered and relaxed in this private getaway!
The space We comfortably sleep 12 humans. There are technically 4 bedrooms, the master, guest one and guest two bedrooms are in the main floor (King bed, King bed and Queen bed respectively). The second floor bonus room has another King bed with partitions for privacy and there is an 11x11 upstairs closet that has been converted into a "kids room" with two sets of bunk beds. There are three full bathrooms.
*please note the top bunks are for weight of under 150 lbs, please do not sleep a large adult on the top bunks
Dining area has seating for 6/7 adults and there are two barstools at the counter for two more seating spaces.
WE ARE WATERFRONT TO THE PAMLICO SOUND complete with a dock, boat lift and jet ski lift. There are public boat ramps nearby (more info in our guidebook) and there is a small ramp on the property this is not paved (you have to drive through the yard but would be ok for smaller vessels and light vehicles only). We have 2 kayaks and 2 paddleboards available for your use and enjoyment. Water depths off the dock are around 5 feet and its a sandy bottom but it is brackish water so we get dolphins, stingrays, crab friends, sea turtles, jellyfish, and the occasional small sharks so please use your best judgment when choosing to swim out there.
This is a gorgeous but rural area so please be mindful of your surroundings. We have deer friends, bear friends, hawk friends and wasps who are not our friends. We make every effort to eradicate whenever wasps build their nests on our property but please be cautious and keep an eye out and alert us asap if you see any! We also try to spray the yard with essential oils that keep the mosquitos at bay but please pack accordingly for bug spray and sunscreen so you can get the most enjoyment out of this space!
We have an absolutely breathtaking firepit with benches and swings that our owners have built for your use and enjoyment. Please use only the firepit receptacle for any fires and use common sense and best judgment when utilizing this feature and make sure any fire is completely extinguished when you exit the firepit area.
We love Belhaven, Bath, Washington and the surrounding areas and there is so much that these towns have to offer we want to make sure you make the most out of your time with us!
Guest access You will have the entire home to yourself! There is a small garage apartment underneath the home which is private to the owners who do not live on property but occasionally come by for repairs, to drop off supplies or as a stop over on fishing trips.
