The space **PLEASE NOTE: If you are seeking accommodation for 8 during the cooler months, the cottage comfortably sleeps 6 from November until April since the sunroom is less comfortable for sleeping at this time of year.**
Oak Cottage is a four season property & is easily accessible year round since it is located on a municipally maintained road. Whether you enjoy taking in the sights & sounds of the spring birds returning to the lake; are energized with the many summer lakefront activities; prefer hiking through the beautiful fall colours; or snowshoeing through a winter wonderland, a vacation at Oak Cottage on Lake Kashwakamak promises to be a memorable experience at any time.

I strive to offer an easy, transparent booking experience. Please note that the cleaning fee is already included in the total price, so there are no additional fees after booking. Additionally, guests who wish to add their pets to their booking will not be charged a pet fee.
Guests can keep connected while away from home with Bell Hi-Speed DSL WiFi. Connectivity, nor bandwidth cannot be guaranteed as it is dependent upon a guest’s mobile phone provider.
Oak Cottage is equipped with central air conditioning & central heating. Each bedroom is equipped with portable tower fans, while the sleeping areas in the living area & sun room are equipped with ceiling fans. The sun room is also cooled with a window air conditioning unit & heated with a wall mounted electric heater.
The primary bedroom is furnished with a queen bed with cozy layered bedding. Here you will find a work-from-home space in case you need to touch base with work or school while you are on vacation. There is access to a 2-piece bath outfitted with a toilet & sink directly from the primary bedroom.
The second bedroom is also furnished with a queen bed with comfy layered bedding where you will also find a convenient work-from-home space.
A 4-piece bath with whirlpool bubble jet tub will soothe your aching muscles in case you should overdo the waterskiing or snowshoeing while on vacation. Shampoo, conditioner & body wash are supplied, as well as a generous supply of towels.
The dedicated laundry room is designed for convenience in a compact space. It features a stackable washer/dryer unit, perfect for handling laundry needs without taking up too much room. Laundry pods & dryer sheets are provided for guests’ use. For guests who prefer fresh air drying, a clothes line is available on the sun deck, offering the option to hang clothes in the sunshine. In addition to the laundry amenities, a compact fridge/freezer is found in the laundry area providing additional storage space for food & beverages. This dual-purpose room makes it easy to keep things organized, while optimizing the available space.
The kitchen & dining area are an open concept space with seating for 2 at the kitchen island, while the adjacent dining table includes seating for 6. The well-equipped kitchen is outfitted with stainless steel appliances including a refrigerator/freezer, wine fridge, dishwasher, electric glass-topped range & microwave. You will find a selection of 18 common spices, as well as basic baking supplies. A drip coffee maker, as well as a Keurig machine with a refillable pod are provided. Coffee, an assortment of teas & all the fixings are also supplied.
The welcoming living area serves as an additional sleeping area with a queen pull-out sofa bed. The sofa bed can be used traditionally with sheets & blanket, or opt for added luxury by placing a backboard under the mattress to minimize the feel of the metal frame. For an extra plush experience, we provide a mattress topper encased in a duvet cover on top of the existing mattress, paired with a matching duvet cover for a top layer. This setup offers both flexibility & enhanced comfort for a restful night’s sleep. This area also features a cozy woodstove & Roku TV. A number of board games, puzzles & books are available for our guests to enjoy.
