The space Cedar Cottage is a three-season property, ideally suited for use from early May until late October and is easily accessible as it is located on a municipally maintained road. Whether you enjoy taking in the sights & sounds of the spring birds; making summer memories while roasting marshmallows around the campfire; or venturing off for a day of hiking to take in the colours of autumn, precious family memories are waiting to be made at Cedar Cottage on Lake Kashwakamak.

I strive to offer an easy, transparent booking experience. Please note that the cleaning fee is already included in the total price, so there are no extra fees after booking. Additionally, for guests who wish to include a pet in their booking, there is no additional pet fee.
The cottage is heated by baseboard electric heating, as well as a wood stove in the living area. The cottage is cooled with a ceiling fan in each of the living & sleeping areas with additional portable fans in each of the sleeping areas.
The cottage is equipped with Bell DSL WiFi to keep guests connected while away from home. There are no guarantees regarding connectivity & band width as it is dependent upon a guest’s mobile phone provider.
The primary bedroom is spacious and inviting, featuring a queen bed with cozy, layered bedding. The four piece bath can be accessed directly from the primary bedroom.
The second bedroom also offers a comfy queen bed with cozy layered bedding.
The third bedroom is perfect for both relaxation and productivity, furnished with twin bunks (up to 170 lbs. on top bunk) and a dedicated work-from-home space. Access to the upper deck from the third bedroom patio door makes for convenient access to the outdoors.
The cottage includes a well-appointed 4-piece bath with plenty of towels and complimentary body wash, shampoo & conditioner.
The open-concept living and kitchen area is designed for comfort and functionality, complete with a cozy wood stove & Roku TV. At bedtime, guests can open the living area queen sofa bed to enjoy a restful night's sleep. The sofa bed offers versatile comfort for guests. It can be used traditionally with sheets & blanket, or opt for added luxury by placing a backboard under the mattress to minimize the feel of the metal frame. For an extra plush experience, we provide a mattress topper encased in a duvet cover on top of the existing mattress, paired with a matching duvet cover for a top layer. This setup offers both flexibility & enhanced comfort for a restful night’s sleep.
The kitchen features an electric range, OTR microwave, refrigerator/freezer & bar fridge. The kitchen is also equipped with a dual drip coffee maker/Keurig style unit, coffee, tea & all the fixings, as well as a selection of 18 common spices & basic baking ingredients. Guests are able to access the upper deck from both the kitchen patio door & living area patio door.
One of the highlights of Cedar Cottage is the screened-in sunroom, a favourite spot for guests to gather and enjoy the 10-in-1 games table. From here, you make your way to the sundeck featuring a screened-in gazebo housing an outdoor dining table and chairs for eight, providing a perfect setting for meals with a view of the lake. For outdoor cooking, a propane BBQ with spare propane tank is available for grilling tasty dishes.
A dedicated laundry area with a front-load washer and dryer adds convenience for guests. Laundry pods & dryer sheets are included for guests’ convenience. Additionally, there is an outdoor clothes line located on the front veranda for guests who prefer to dry their clothes outdoors in the sunshine.
We know that many of our guests enjoy bringing their pets on vacation. With this in mind, we have tried to include everything to make your pet comfortable at Cedar Cottage. From the raised pet bed, to the waterproof pet blankets we hope that your pets feel right at home. Pet food & drink dishes are available, as are pet waste disposal bags, waste scoop & pet tie outs to keep your pets safe from getting lost while vacationing in an unfamiliar area. All pets MUST be house trained in order to accompany guests.
