The space This 3 bedroom open plan house is in the Swallowfield Lifestyle Estate. It's fully off the grid - solar powered, and uses natural water sources.
We have concrete strips up to the house, so you don't need a 4 x 4 vehicle, but super low / modified cars would not be ideal as there are dips in the concrete (for water run off).
We also have a few Wildebeest roaming the estate so don't be surprised by our curious and skittish Estate pets... for this reason, regret no pets allowed.
Guest access There's access to the entire home, and garden area. There's a small dam for catch-and-release fishing, and water fun! There's also access to a communal rock-like swimming pool within walking distance away, such a treat in hot days!
Other things to note This is a new Estate so there could be the chance that some contractors may be building whilst you stay. At the moment though, there's nobody else there, just you and a 360 degree view!
Winter in the berg is chilly, so pack warm! We do have a gas heater, electric blankets and an outside firepit, however no inside fireplace. The duvets are warm and there's additional blankets too.
Neighbourhood Description
A good mix of quiet and bustling, depending on the time of year. Although the area can get busy at times, it still feels peaceful and tranquil as it's so spread out! There's so much to do in the area - zip-lines, hikes galore, restaurants, reptile park, the bird-show, chocolate shop, hot-air ballooning, beer tasting, wine farms, coffee shops, playgrounds, quad biking, golfing... you never need to leave!
