The space The Poppy Pad is a 2 level, 1 King Bedroom, 1 Bath property with a kitchenette equipped with a microwave, mini fridge, and sink. There is no stove top or hot plate. No pets are allowed unless you are travelling with horses. Equines are welcome for a minimal additional cost with prior approval.
On the property are cats, two dogs, 3 equines (you will hear our burros braying). Our neighbors have yaks, cattle, goats, sheep, dogs, horses, poultry, and other farm animals. You will hear them. You will also see the wild critters that inhabit our corner of La Plata County. You are welcome to wander our property beyond the Big Stick Ditch but do not go into the pasture with our burros or enter any of the out buildings.
Guest access The entire Poppy Pad is yours. We live in a separate but attached unit on the property but will keep to ourselves unless you indicate otherwise. Reach out with questions or if you need anything! You will see us out and about walking our dogs and doing chores (if we are in town) and we'll wave but do not expect to interact with you while you relax. However, we are available if you need any assistance or have questions!
Other things to note We live on-site but you will have The Poppy Pad to yourselves with a private entrance and patio.
