The space
This late 1800's creole cottage features three private bedrooms with three baths, a separate loft sleeping area and numerous living and socializing spaces. In one of its many lifetimes this property was a former film studio which has now been renovated with modern conveniences while retaining amazing historic details. The expansive footprint of approximately 2500 sq ft of living area provides plenty of space for guests to have privacy and an open layout for gathering. Walking into the front part of the home is walking into New Orleans Storyville history: high ceilings with medallions, beautiful woodwork, fireplaces and wood floors. These front two rooms are both living and sleeping spaces, with a sitting area and sofa sleeper in the front parlor and a full size daybed with trundle in the library bedroom. Adjacent to the library bedroom is a bathroom with clawfoot tub.
The expansive kitchen is equipped with modern conveniences, stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher and gas stovetop. The dining room and adjacent wet bar make entertaining and socializing fun and easy. The living room hosts a comfortable moon shaped couch to fit all your friends and family. Television has cable and many of the rooms are equipped with Sonos speakers, so just ask Alexa to play your favorite music when you are getting ready to enjoy a night on the town.
The first floor has a quaint and comfortable queen bedroom with a fabulous bathroom equipped with a luxurious jacuzzi tub and shower. This bathroom is nearby the living room for easy access.
Upstairs there is a spacious master bedroom with a wonderful sitting area to read a book, or hang out with friends. The master bath is split with a shower and sink on one side and a separate toilet and wash area on the other. Upstairs across a long hall from the master, the loft is equipped with two beds - a twin and a full, perfect for single guests in your group.
While the bedrooms are private, the open floorplan of the kitchen, dining and living room is perfect for entertaining, cooking and socializing. Each floor has its own central air/heat and a washer/dryer are located upstairs.

Our home is thoroughly cleaned between guests and we have implemented even more measures for cleaning of frequently touched surfaces in between guests.
While the house is beautiful and spacious, the outdoor space is the hidden gem of the home. The couch and table offer a sweet garden breakfast spot, with additional seating to chill with a drink in the shade on those hot New Orleans days and beautiful nights. The covered patio has a large hot tub, for relaxing after those long days on plantation tour or in the swamp, or nights dancing in the clubs to some of New Orleans finest musicians.
Our guests enjoy this amazing home, with its private bedrooms, lots of living areas, additional space and amazing outdoor area. Our home is a hidden gem, tucked in a residential neighborhood, but close to the action of the French Quarter and Frenchman Street.
Neighborhood restaurants, bars and coffee shops are within a few blocks, and live music on Frenchman is just a short walk away. The Bywater is one of the historic residential districts that is one of the creative centers of New Orleans and this home is a quintessential representation of that creativity. Come for a vacation, stay-cation, work trip - our home is your home away from home!

Guests have access to the house with 3 private bedrooms, a loft and a number of common spaces with ample sleeping and living options. The home has an accessible entrance, a beautiful covered outdoor space with a large hot tub and a small yard, for those who may want a little sun.

This lovely home is in Bywater, near the river and the Country Club. Bywater is a historic New Orleans neighborhood and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This neighborhood is filled with local residents, artists, and performers, writers, tattoo artists, painters, set designers, musicians, and more.
On any random day there may be a second line strolling down the street or a few musicians playing on the street corner. (Note: AirBnB may have the wrong neighborhood listed for my home. It is not in St. Claude, it is in Bywater, near to Crescent Park).
We have great bars, hangouts, music, restaurants and Crescent Park is just a few blocks away. The Country Club is a very close, where you can enjoy a day pass at the beautiful pools or get a great bite to eat in their wonderfully decorated space. Our local watering hole, Markeys Bar is on the corner, a great spot to have a drink with locals and get some late night eats.
During Mardi Gras, the Society of Saint Anne marching krewe starts their procession on Mardi Gras morning in Bywater, often traveing down our street as it gathers marchers and proceeds to the French Quarter and the River.
The Bywater is a quieter residential neighborhood, in close proximity to the Frenchman Street and a quick walk to the French Quarter. It is important to respect the neighborhood and those who live here. This neighborhood has great accessibility to all of New Orleans and its adventures. C
