Our home is not a Camps Bay mansion. We celebrate raw finishes (off-shutter concrete, reclaimed wood) and the occasional quirk; if you want hotel-perfect surfaces, this isn’t the place. If you value atmosphere, comfort and authenticity, you’ll feel at home.
Perched above the Knysna lagoon, the house opens onto spectacular views via large windows and 7m stacker doors that create seamless indoor–outdoor living. The north-facing courtyard has a breeze-free gas braai. There’s a large pool and firepit to enjoy summer afternoons/evenings.
Open-plan living: full kitchen (Elba stove, microwave, double fridge/freezer), large dining area, TV with Netflix, and a closed-combustion fireplace (wood provided). Toys and books and games available in the second bedroom.
Sleeping: main ensuite (queen, lagoon view); second lagoon room (two single beds and one double bed ((bottom bunk)) — great for kids/families); third bedroom queen (garden view). All bedrooms have fans. (NO AIRCON).
A separate flatlet below the house can be included for an ADDITIONAL RATE (subject to availability) (queen bed + ensuite + kitchenette + Netflix) — You’ll have exclusive use of the main house, our house manager Candace lives on site in a second apartment below the main house, next to this one but it is very private and out of the way. She will be able to attend to any queries you might have during your stay. There is one other listing on the large property (a separate house with a separate entrance next door however the driveway is shared. )
Sleeps 8 in the main house and 10 if the apartment below is included (at additional cost) (best for 4–6 singles or 3 couples + 4 kids). Camp cot available.
Daily service included for December stays excluding Sundays & public holidays (they can be booked in advance at a rate of R600 per day).
Guest access Guests have full use of the main house and (when included) the separate flatlet below, along with 2 parking spaces.
Other things to note PLEASE NOTE :
The separate apartment (bedroom 4 and full bathroom 3 shown in the pics) is only included on request and subject to availability at an additional cost. This will increase the number of guests to 10. If booking for a group of less than 10 and this apartment is required for your group, kindly contact us and we will assist with making the booking.
There are 2 friendly cats that live on the property (not in the house).
As our properly flanks a lush foresty greenbelt home to many birds and other creatures and critters, it also attracts the local troop of monkeys which often visit the property (especially in summer). While it's fun and cute to watch them please don't try to feed them or interact with them. They are there for food so please be mindful of food that's left out as they could try to steal it. They are quite cheeky and forward but we haven't had any bad encounters, feel free to loudly clap and shoo them off.
Some guests find our driveway steep.
We have space for 2 standard cars, there is no space for trailers. Please contact us in advance to discuss parking options if you would like to bring a trailer.
Our pool is not fenced, please ensure children are not alone at the pool area.
While we want our guests to relax and braai and have a good time, no parties are allowed.
We’ll keep the pool blue but can’t be held liable if it's affected after storms, rain, water restrictions or power outages. We will do our best if it affected by the above to return it to a clean state.
