Zen-Inspired Private Space in a Quiet Neighborhood

A finished basement with one bedroom and a private bath is available in a low-key residential area. Located in "The Pizza Capital of the World", Old Forge's Main Street is full of amazing pizza places and Italian restaurants. 15 minutes from Scranton and Montage Ski Resort, it is also 20 minutes from a major, high-traffic mall area, Dickson City; and also 15 minutes to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Airport. We have an attached lot that can accommodate a boat, quad trailer, etc., for an extra fee. The space This cozy, fully-furnished peaceful space was created in our rarely-used downstairs. It has a nice, private spacious living room area with a large screen TV including Xfinity cable with HBO, Netflix, etc., Wifi, a water feature, a gas fireplace, one bedroom, and a spacious adjoining spa-like bathroom with a walk-in rain shower. There is a combined, full-service kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, stove with oven, (no dishwasher), microwave, toaster, stainless steel pots and pans, pizza pan, cookie sheet, dishes, stainless steel eating utensils, stainless steel knife set, cooking utensils, chopsticks, ramen spoons, condiments, Keurig coffees, teas, sugar, Splenda, creamers, snacks, etc. The separate bedroom has a queen-size bed with drawers underneath and a closet. In February 2023, there will also be a separate combination office with a spare queen-size bed for kids. We prefer that children who stay are 12 and older. Quiet events (showers, etc.) are permitted outdoors in the summer, scheduled in advance, for an extra fee. You are responsible for clean-up. All guests are encouraged to purchase travel insurance in the event an emergency arises. PETS: ***We have two pets, a large Akita and a small Shiba Inu*** They do not have access to your space, but they do frequent our fenced-in backyard area at will. You may take your pets out for walks in the neighborhood. Please clean up- we have extra pet clean-up bags if needed. Guest access You will have private, full use of our downstairs- including a shared washer and dryer on the premises (in a separate area that we have access to, as well). Although not officially handicapped accessible due to the width of door frames, the space is a flat surface with no steps inside or outside. Other things to note Free off-street parking in the orange/terracotta stamped concrete driveway that leads to your entry door to the right of the home. It is a lit private guest entrance with a table and chairs outdoors for smoking. Cancellation policy~ Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.
