Relax in our bright and airy 1-bedroom flat with a balcony in the London borough of Hackney, at the border of Upper Clapton and Stoke Newington.
Our flat consists of a spacious bedroom which catches the morning sunshine, a good sized living room (for London standards) with a whole wall of windows that leads onto the balcony where you can enjoy your breakfast or lunch when it's sunny. There's often a beautiful view of the sunset from the living room. There is a separate kitchen next to the living room with all the standard amenities and appliances (juicer, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, microwave and so on) that you are welcome to use. You are also more than welcome to use our spices, condiments and teas. Finally, the bathroom is rather small but has a bathtub shower. We'll leave out some bath salts for you to use if you so wish, and the hairdryer, too.
We are aware the kitchen and bathroom need a little TLC but we can assure you that everything works perfectly and is cleaned by a professional cleaner each week. We often do Airbnb, so have a locked storage room in which we will put most of our stuff so you can feel at home in our space.
Neighbourhood Description
Many great restaurants and bars are around a 10-minute walk away on Stoke Newington Church Street, from which Abney Park Cemetery (nicer than it sounds, have a look!) and Clissold Park can also be reached. Hackney Downs and Springfield Park are also a 10-minute walk away, while the canal is around 15 minutes' walk and leads on to the Hackney and Walthamstow Marshes, a lovely spot for a walk, run or cycle.
We live in a residential neighbourhood but there's a corner shop a 30-second walk from the flat that is open until midnight. There are multiple buses and trains to get to Central London. Clapton and Rectory Road stations are each around 10 minutes' walk away and both provide London Overground links to Liverpool Street every 15 minutes. On the other hand, buses at either Stoke Newington Common or Upper Clapton Road provide links to most of the surrounding parts of North and East London.
